Hello, I am Mrs Tinning, and I am the Welfare Officer at the Brook Infant School.
My role includes looking after the welfare of the children, from liaison with parents and school nurses, to providing advice on welfare issues and of course, looking after poorly children while at school.
Head lice are a common problem, particularly in school children aged 4-11 years. As you know head lice can be effectively treated with medicated lotions or by wet combing using a specially designed head lice comb. Further advice on detection and treatment can be found at on the NHS direct website.
